Portal To Do Requests [6]

Purpose

A ‘To Do’ request is the simplest type of client portal request, Use it when you need the client to carry out an action and mark it as complete, with no data capture or file upload required.

For example, you might ask a client to:

  • Update their bookkeeping records.
  • Review outstanding bookkeeping items.
  • Confirm that all sales invoices have been entered.
  • Complete an action outside PracticeFlow and then mark the request as complete.

If you need the client to provide information, use a Form request. If you need them to send you a document, use an Upload request.

Add a To Do request

From the relevant task:

  1. Scroll down to Client Portal Requests and click + Add Request.
  2. Select To Do.
  3. Enter the details of what you would like the client to do.
  4. Choose who the request is for.
  5. Click Save.

The request will then appear under Client Portal Requests in the task.

What the client sees

When the client accesses the portal, the To Do request is shown under Portal Requests for the relevant task.

Once they have completed the requested action, they can mark the request as complete.

When the request is completed

Once the client marks the To Do request as complete, PracticeFlow records the completion against the portal request within the task.

You can then see that the request has been completed, together with the completion details.
