What is the difference between the Account Manager and Service Manager?
Practice Flow distinguishes between two assignment types that determine task ownership:
Account Manager
Typically, the main point of contact for a client. Assigned on a per-client basis. Used as the default recipient for tasks unless overridden by (a) service manager or (b) assignment at the task level.
Service Manager
Assigned per service, e.g. you might have one user responsible for all VAT returns, another for Payroll. This is optional but useful for splitting workload by specialism. The Service Manager cannot currently be assigned via the import template; it must be set manually in the client side panel. You can assign both user types via the side panel on the Companies or Individuals tab
