Bulk Updating Multiple Records

The Bulk Update feature allow you to apply one or more changes to multiple Organisations, Individuals or Tasks at the same time, reducing repetitive work. Common uses include reassigning tasks, changing the Account Manager for a group of clients, updating task status dates, adding notes and archiving records.


A fixed checkbox column is shown on the left-hand side of the Organisations, Individuals and Tasks grids. As soon as you select a record, a blue Bulk Update button appears showing the number of records selected.

How to use Bulk Updates

  1. Open the Organisations, Individuals or Tasks grid.
  2. If helpful, use the filters and sorting options to narrow down the records shown. This can make selecting the required records much quicker.
  3. Select the relevant records using the checkboxes on the left-hand side. You can select all displayed records or only those you want to update.
  4. Click the blue Bulk Update button.
  5. In the pop-up, select one or more fields you want to change.
  6. Enter the new values and apply the update.

Only the records you select will be updated. You can update more than one field at the same time. Only the fields selected in the pop-up will be changed, and the values entered will be applied to every record included in the update. Where a field shows leave blank to clear, selecting that field without entering a new value will remove the existing value from all selected records.

Bulk updating Tasks

The following fields can be updated:

Task Bulk Updates are particularly useful for reassigning a group of tasks to another user or updating multiple tasks at once, for example by setting the same Completed On date.
