Multiple tasks for the same client and service

Smart Tasks run as a single sequence, so only one Smart Task is active at a time for a given client and service.

However, in some situations, you may need more than one task running at the same time. This can arise where work overlaps, such as catching up on earlier periods, or where a client has the same service operating at different frequencies.

The standard approach is to create a manual one-off or recurring task alongside the Smart Task. This allows both tasks to be visible and managed independently within the same service.

An alternative approach is to complete a Smart Task to generate the next task in the sequence and then go to Completed tasks and reopen the original task. This results in two Smart Tasks being active at the same time.
