Archiving Clients
Archiving is used to remove organisations or individuals from active views while retaining their data for reference, audit, or compliance purposes.
To archive an organisation or individual, select the record from the Organisations or Individuals tab. This opens the record in the side panel on the right-hand side of the screen.
Click the Archive button:

Once archived, the record is removed from the Organisations, Individuals, Dashboard, and Tasks views, but all historical data is retained. The record remains available in the archived view, where the original relationship type (Client, Prospect, or Contact) and the date of archiving are displayed.
Archived records can be accessed by clicking the Archive button on the top bar of the Organisations or Individuals tabs. This is the right-most button in the four-button group (Recycle, Column Chooser, Export, Archive), labelled “View Archived” when you hover over it:

Archiving does not change the relationship type. For organisations registered at Companies House, archiving also stops automatic Companies House syncing.
Archived records can be unarchived at any time, which restores them to the active views with their original relationship type. Records can also be permanently deleted from the archived view if required.
Archiving is the correct way to handle records that are no longer active, such as former clients or dormant prospects, while retaining their data for reference and compliance.
